We are excited to share an incredible opportunity with the Arizona PKU and Allied Disorders (ANPAD) community! Biomarin is hosting an in-person PKU Educational Event to discuss Palynziq® (pegvaliase-pqpz) Injection, a prescription treatment option designed for adults with PKU. This event is tailored for individuals who are currently managing their PKU or are seeking to improve their blood phenylalanine (Phe) levels.

At this event, you will have the chance to hear directly from Eli Ellenberg, DNP RN FNP-BC, a nurse practitioner from Detroit, Michigan, who will provide insights on Palynziq treatment. Additionally, you'll meet Lauren, an adult currently using Palynziq, who will share her personal experience. This is an incredible chance to learn more about how Palynziq can potentially help you work towards a Phe level you've been striving for. According to clinical trial data, two-thirds (66%) of adults saw their Phe levels drop to 6 mg/dL or lower within two years of treatment.
What is Palynziq?
Palynziq is a prescription injection used to lower blood Phe levels in adults with PKU who are currently unable to control their levels through diet or other treatments. Palynziq works by directly breaking down Phe in the blood, making it a flexible option for adults with PKU—whether they follow a strict PKU diet or not. After starting Palynziq, you will remain on your current diet and receive guidance from your healthcare team as your Phe levels are monitored over time. This event will allow you to ask questions, connect with others in the PKU community, and gain valuable information about managing your condition.

This Biomarin-sponsored event is open to adults with PKU (age 18 and older) and their guests, including caregivers or family members ages 4 and older. There is no cost to attend, but spaces are limited. Unfortunately, childcare will not be provided.
