CAMP KNOT A PHE?

What was it like you ask? Camp Knot a Phe is definitely the most fun weekend of the year. It was held in Prescott at UCYC springs at about 7,000 feet elevation. The weather was perfect and a great time was had my all.

Camp Knot a Phe is a family camp that welcomes metabolic patients currently on a protein restriction with medical formula, and their immediate family members. Open to Arizona residents. All campers must be at least three years of age. Located on 80 acres just outside of Prescott, AZ in the beautiful, tall pines. What a great mountain getaway. Save the date for May 25th-28th, 2018.

WHAT ACTIVITIES? Fun camp activities for ages 3 and up! All campers will have an opportunity to enjoy fun activities for all ages included zip-line, crafts, high ropes, gaga ball, basketball, hamster ball, giant water slide, paintball, archery, field games, lip sync battle, ukulele lessons, and more.

The younger campers kept busy with fun activities too!

There will also be several optional discovery groups and workshops. This year we had many great presentations, something for everyone.

MEALS? All low protein meals and snacks will be provided by a qualified chef and our very own dietitians, Melanie and Alyssa. Regular meals are also provided. Chef Kent was there to provide all the low protein meals which many parents and sibling also got to enjoy. see the recipes he made HERE

LODGING? Cabin lodging is provided. Cabin groups are assigned to provide campers with the best experience possible. All cabins have bathrooms inside. Each cabin sleeps 12-14 campers, therefore single family cabins can not be guaranteed.

FORMULA? All medical formulas must be supplied by the family. Dieticians and volunteers will be on-hand to assist with patient meal planning.

* Parents/guardians of patients younger than 5 will be responsible for attending pre-meal planning sessions (Pow Wow meetings) and assisting their child during meals.

    COST? In an effort to ensure the future of Camp Knot a Phe, there is a non-refundable $75 application fee per family.
